MingSilk is the international website operated by Huzhou Xinzhaofeng Silk Technology Co., Ltd. We primarily supply silk fabrics, swatches, sampling and custom development for business customers.
Bulk fabric transactions may also be governed by a quotation, pro forma invoice (PI), sales contract, purchase order confirmation or other written agreement between MingSilk and the customer. Where transaction-specific written terms differ from this policy, those agreed terms will take priority to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Inspection and quality claims
Customers should inspect fabrics promptly after delivery and before cutting, washing, dyeing, printing, garment production or other processing.
Claims relating to visible defects, shortages, incorrect goods or other non-conformities that can reasonably be identified during normal incoming inspection should be reported to MingSilk within seven (7) business days after delivery.
Claims relating to latent manufacturing defects that could not reasonably have been identified during normal incoming inspection should be reported within thirty (30) calendar days after delivery and promptly after discovery.
Quality claims should include the relevant order, quotation or PI reference, fabric or roll identification where available, photographs or video showing the issue, a description of the problem and, where reasonably practicable, the approximate affected quantity.
If a potential defect is identified, customers should stop further cutting or processing of the affected material where reasonably practicable and contact MingSilk before continuing. For business-to-business transactions, continued processing after a reasonably identifiable issue has been discovered may be taken into account when determining an appropriate remedy, subject to applicable law.
Cut fabrics and stock fabrics
For business-to-business orders, fabrics cut to a customer-specified length are prepared specifically for that order and are not normally returnable or exchangeable because of a change of mind, incorrect selection, project cancellation or other non-quality reasons.
This does not affect remedies for confirmed quality defects, incorrect goods supplied by MingSilk or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Custom and made-to-order fabrics
Custom-dyed, custom-printed, custom-woven, specially finished, customer-specific or otherwise made-to-order fabrics cannot normally be cancelled, returned or exchanged for non-quality reasons after production has commenced.
If supplied goods are confirmed to materially differ from the mutually agreed specification, approved sample, lab dip, strike-off, quality reference or other written requirement, please contact us so that the issue can be assessed and an appropriate remedy agreed.
Swatches and samples
Swatches and samples are supplied to help customers evaluate colour, hand feel, construction, weight, transparency and other material characteristics before bulk production.
Any swatch or sample charge may be credited toward a subsequent qualifying bulk fabric order where confirmed in the relevant quotation or written sales arrangement. A sample charge is not automatically refundable solely because a customer decides not to proceed with a bulk order.
International courier charges, customs duties, import taxes and other third-party logistics costs for swatches and samples are normally paid by the customer and are not credited toward a bulk order unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If a swatch or sample supplied by MingSilk is incorrect or has a confirmed quality issue, please contact samples@mingsilk.com. Depending on the circumstances, we may arrange a replacement, resend, refund of the sample charge or another mutually agreed solution. Any related courier costs will be handled according to the circumstances and applicable law.
Remedies for confirmed quality issues
Where a quality issue attributable to MingSilk is confirmed, the appropriate remedy will depend on the nature, severity and affected quantity of the issue.
A remedy may include replacement or reproduction of the affected goods, a price adjustment, credit toward a future order, partial or full refund of the affected goods, or another solution mutually agreed between MingSilk and the customer.
Where only part of an order is affected, the remedy may be limited to the affected quantity where appropriate.
Return authorization
Please do not return fabric, swatches or other goods without prior written authorization from MingSilk.

Return instructions may vary depending on the product, shipping method, destination and nature of the issue. Customers should wait for written return instructions before dispatching goods.
Return and replacement shipping costs
Where a confirmed quality issue or incorrect shipment is attributable to MingSilk, MingSilk will normally bear or reimburse reasonable and pre-approved shipping costs associated with the agreed remedy.
Customers should not arrange an international return or use an express courier at MingSilk's expense without prior written approval.
For returns accepted for reasons not attributable to MingSilk, including any return permitted under applicable mandatory consumer law, return shipping costs are normally the customer's responsibility unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Refund processing
Where a refund is agreed, MingSilk will normally initiate the approved refund within ten (10) business days after the refund has been confirmed and any required returned goods or supporting information have been received.
The time required for funds to appear in the customer's account may depend on the bank, card issuer, payment provider and country involved.
Where mandatory law requires a different refund procedure or deadline, the applicable mandatory requirement will take priority.
Consumer statutory rights
MingSilk primarily serves business customers, designers, studios, brands and other professional buyers. However, nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
Where mandatory consumer law gives a customer a right of withdrawal, cancellation, repair, replacement, price reduction, refund or other remedy, those rights will apply subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by the applicable law. Certain made-to-order, customer-specific or clearly personalised goods may be excluded from statutory cooling-off rights where permitted by law.
