Product details

MingSilk 12 Momme Silk Habotai Fabric is made from 100% mulberry silk. Also known as Habutae, this lightweight plain-weave silk is approximately 52 GSM and 140 cm (55 in) wide. It features a smooth fine surface, soft natural lustre, supple hand and fluid drape.

The fabric is non-stretch and has a clean, lightweight construction with a soft, refined handle. Compared with satin, Habotai has a more understated sheen, while its plain-weave structure gives it a smooth and versatile character for apparel, linings and layered applications.
